Create Your Own Sweet Ending with Forever Sweet Bakery (Sweet Endings Bakery) – Stamford, CT

5 Mar

Update:  along with a name change to Forever Sweet Bakery, you can find the awesome cupcakes and goodies inside their brand new Norwalk location!

Putting quarters in that parking meter at Stamford Town Center won’t seem as annoying anymore.  Believe it or not, you can get some gourmet cupcakes to ease the pain of spending so much or getting stuck with a wife who “has to look for a silver ring for just a second.”  What, that’s a random quote!  Where could I possibly have come up with that?  I digress, but you can get gourmet cupcakes, cookies, and more from Sweet Endings Bakery now.

Sweet Endings Bakery Kiosk in the Stamford Town Center mall

Husband and wife Frances and Sky Mercede opened up shop in the mall on February 1st.  You can find their kiosk on Level 4 by Solstice glasses.  While they both work together and manage the business, Frances is the baker with over 20 years of experience in making her own awesome baked goods.  We even created a handy dandy map, just for you.  Doesn’t get easier than that.  So, let’s go into the awesome details of Sweet Endings Bakery:

Red Velvet and Chocolate Mint Cupcakes

Because we came later in the day on Saturday, the vultures had picked away at more of the variety, but we snagged ourselves Red Velvet and Chocolate Mint cupcakes.  You couldn’t imagine the care we took in bringing these cupcakes back to our house.  We had to make sure the cream wouldn’t smear during the ride because the picture wouldn’t look as good.  After a huge meal at Bar Rosso, we weren’t ready for dessert, but these became our Sunday brunch.  Un.frea.king.be.lieve.able.  First off, Kristien just loved the Red Velvet.  The cake was moist, full of flavor, and the buttercream frosting was amazing.  We actually can say that we haven’t had cream like this because it’s heavier, but we think all cupcake cream should be that way from now on.  Then, I bit into the Chocolate Mint.  Wow.  A strong bite from the mint hits you and, once again, the moist cake just seems to melt away into your mouth.  A nice touch was the chocolate mint on top that added nice contrast with the wonderful cream.  Can’t wait to try all the flavors…

For the sake of my waistline, I am SO grateful that they weren’t there 7 years ago when I worked in the Stamford Mall (just a few steps from where they are now nonetheless)!

I love that you posted the daily specials, now I can strategically plan my next mall trip to coincide with my favorite cupcake flavors. Lemon cupcakes? OMG I die.

Oh man, imagine that? :) You are very lucky you don’t still work there. :) I, personally, would not be able to fight the urge to eat cupcakes daily. I glad you enjoy having the specials up on there so you can plan things out. I so want to try all of them, especially the lemon cupcakes. Yeah, sounds great, right? Lemon in cupcakes just seems perfect and reminds me of summer.
