Lobstercraft Scuttles into Two Roads Brewery Saturday – Stratford, CT

6 Feb

Update:  because of the snow storm, the brewery was closed. BUT, Lobstercraft will be at Two Roads tomorrow…that’s 2/23, 3-7.

Ummmmm, yeah…we hobnob.  We have hobnob degrees, you know?  Bachelor of Arts in Hobnobbing, Masters in Hobnobbing, and PhD. in Hobnobbing too.  We mentioned some of our favorite food trucks in the area and reached out to some of them, too.  Surely someone could rescue Two Roads Brewing from their culinary conundrum!  See, almost every Saturday from 3-7 they invite a food truck into their parking lot, right by the brewery entrance.  We went about a month ago when Fryborg was there and trust us, “Resistance is Futile.”  Seriously great fries and sandwiches…but more on that in a later post.

  • Coastal:  butter, lobster, seasoning
  • Heat Wave:  habanero infused hot butter, lobster
  • California: avocado, cucumber, ginger soy, lobster
  • LBLT:  lobster, bacon, lettuce, tomato
We feel a Heat Wave 'comin on!

Also, they’ve been serving up some lobster bisque and lobster kielbasa mac & cheese lately.  Maybe if you’ve been good boys and girls you can try that?  Plus, who knows what else Captain Mike has in store?  When you’re done with your freshly caught meal (remember he catches a majority of the lobster himself), you’ll want to hit up Two Roads Brewing.  We were by there about a month ago and had a great time…and really dug the beer.  We’ve got a review in the works along with some down and dirty chili fry porn from Fryborg, so be on the lookout.

But, in the meantime, let’s give you some tips for Two Roads:

  • 16 oz. pour for $5 or $6 for the Road 2 Ruin (2x IPA) or Seasonal
  • $6 for a 20 oz. pour
  • $10 for a flight of their beer
  • Growler fills are $10 or $12
$10 for the flight, but you get full pours!

When you’re there, check out one of their tours of the brewery at 1 and 3.  They cost $5 (buy in merchandise room) and last about an hour.  Space is limited and they frequently sell out.

And, the beers to try:

  • Worker’s Comp Saison
  • Ol’Factory Pils
  • Honeyspot Rd. White IPA
  • Road 2 Ruin Double IPA
  • Seasonal (it was Holiday Ale when we went, but could be different now)
