Don’t ya love it when the good guys and gals win? Dream Desserts, based out of Stamford, has made it to the big time. They are now selling their four awesome gluten-free treats (truly dreamy) nation wide through Foodzie.com. Think about that: from small, humble beginnings at farmers’ markets and local stores to national sales. Lucky for Fairfield County peeps that we don’t need to get these treats shipped to us. Yep, we can buy them right from Brian and Marissa Hayes, the awesomeness behind Dream Desserts. But, say you’ve got some friends or family members who aren’t nearby and who have Celiac or a gluten intolerance…well, send out a shipment to them. Or, maybe you’re just lazy and want some munchies shipped out stat–they got ya covered too. You can also send an e-mail to info@dreamdessertbars.com or call them at (203) 969-4794.
So, if you haven’t tried one of their dessert bars, you must. Not your usual, run of the mill dessert, and certainly not what you’d expect from a gluten-free dessert bar. We tried them at New Canaan’s Farmers’ Market and loved em. Here’s a list of what they have to offer along with links to their goods:

I tried the Banana Nuvo when my son and I were at the farmers market at the Stamford Nature Center. It was pricey, but delicious! Definitely the treat to eat if you can splurge for it.

Yeah, that’s a great one, huh Shira? :) The thing about doing things right and making sure that those treats are gluten free is that they need to use good, healthy, high quality ingredients and those aren’t cheap. I think that’s probably one of the things that’s really wrong about our society. The good, quality ingredients are usually expensive, while the stuff that’s bad for you or poor quality is pretty cheap. It’s sad that we function that way, you know?

I’m not even on a gluten free diet, and think all these bars are amazing. The Lemon is beyond addictive!
