Win 2 One-Day Passes to Sun BBQ Fest AND a Weber Grill!

23 May

Update:  Thank you all for entering.  We used Random.org to generate a random commenter and Kris won!  Congratulations!  You’ll be enjoying Sun BBQ Fest and your new grill!

A few weeks ago we told you about the largest BBQ event that’s going down in Connecticut, Sun BBQ Fest.  Three days of awesome, BBQ goodness from June 1-3, 2012.  Lucky for you, the kind and generous people at Mohegan Sun and Sun BBQ Fest are offering up some great swag for one lucky winner.

You have the chance to get these for free:

Two one-day passes.  Check out the breakdown of each day in our post and on the Sun BBQ Fest Site

A Weber Smokey Joe Silver Grill.  It’s portable, it’s perfect for parks and tailgating!

We like to keep things simple, so we’ll pick someone randomly by 5/26/12 at 6 pm.  All you need to do is answer one of these two questions by leaving a comment:

1)  What are you most excited about for the Sun BBQ Fest?

or

2) Where do you plan to take your fun and portable Weber Smokey Joe grill?

i would hide it on my balcony (we’re not allowed to have a grill but i’d use it anyways!). maybe since it’s small and portable, no one will notice!

I would take that Weber on a BBQ ride it wouldn’t forget! First, would be a quick trip to some perfectly seared ribeye steaks. Next would be a longer trip to some dry rubbed spare ribs. If we still have the stamina and enough lump charcoal, a low and slow pork butt, pulled with a North Carolina vinegar sauce would be the perfect finish to where that Weber and I would go (this weekend…).

You are allowed to take this trip, only if you invite both of us along :)

I would absolutely bring the Weber BBQ camping up in Harriman State Park NY! After a long day of hiking in the mountains nothing would be better than a BBQ by the campfire!

Tailgatong outside the stadium at a football game is a must (UConn & Giants Games)!

Woot woot! This looks like the perfect size. Big enough to BBQ a bunch of stuff, but easy enough to take around with you. :) Score.

I’d love the chance to go to the Mohegan Sun BBQ Fest. We’ve never been and we live 10 minutes away. How crazy is that. Or, is it their first year? I’d say watching Joey “Jaws” Chestnut devour ribs would be a lot of fun to watch!

First off, the grill would go on my deck to replace the one that was crushed in the October snowstorm. As for the BBQ Fest…I’m pregnant and would like nothing more than to go to a FOOD FEST! Yes, I do like to eat!!! Thanks :) -lisa

Crushed? :( Holy crap…that’s so unfair. :( Hopefully you can get this one. :) There will be so much food there, so you can totally pig out. Oink. :)
