Make Truffles with Master Chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt of Chocopologie

20 Dec

Celebrate the new year with the gift that keeps on giving:  chocolate truffles.  It keeps on giving because you’ll learn how to make your own batch.  But, we’re not talking just any plain ol’ truffle that you could pick up at CVS.  We’re talking truffles that have brought Oprah to her knees (and probably made her break a diet or two).  Yes, we’re talking about the fine work of master chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt.

Fritz is the owner of Chocopologie Cafe, a favorite spot in Norwalk and becoming a go-to spot for hungry and chocolate-crazed Stamfordites.  Join Fritz (a Chopped alum) at either of these spots for a nice light dinner (savory crepes, sandwiches, or salads) followed by a dark chocolate truffle making class.  Yes, yes…you’ll be able to take the truffles home.  But, most importantly, you’ll learn how to make these yourself and will have the recipe with you to treasure.

Here’s the info:

January 8:  Stamford, 213 Main St. (203) 324-2462

January 9:  SoNo, 12 South Main Street (203) 854-4754

$59 per person includes a glass of wine or beer, a dinner selection (here’s their regular menu), truffles, and a truffle class.  This is an awesome deal and is an even more amazing opportunity to learn from a world-class master.  Make sure to call up (203) 854-4754 and make a reservation.  Seats are filling up quickly!
