Naked Greens owner, Victor Melendez, at his SoNo location

Back in February of 2011, we told you about the opening of Naked Greens that took over the Soup Alley location in SoNo.  We are proud to share that owner Victor Melendez has seen great success with the new location (and a 96% Urbanspoon rating to boot).  Chances are it’s because Naked Greens doesn’t use artificial ingredients or hormones, they use fresh produce, and keep things seasonal whenever possible.  Actually, it’s been so successful, that he began to think a bit more.  Customers from the Wilton area would come in, asking (or begging) to open a location by them.  For him, it seemed like just a natural fit, especially because the second Naked Greens location will open up at the other old Soup Alley location on January 12 in Wilton.

In a press release sent to us today, Victor said, “We’re thrilled to be starting the New Year by bringing this concept back to Wilton with an expanded menu that includes 12 delicious soups per day, all-natural fruit smoothies, raw veggie juices, not to mention a delicious grilled cheese bar where customers can create their own grilled cheese, the perfect complement to a bowl of hot soup.”  Yes, you heard that right…expanded menu at the 239 Danbury Road (that’s Route 7) location that includes new goodies including breakfast.  You’ll be able to pick from smoothies, cereal bars, fruit, yogurt, and lots more to start the day off right.

Some other reasons why the Wilton location will probably turn into your new breakfast, lunch, or even dinner spot:

Um, grilled cheese bar?  That’s worth repeating.

Expanded hours of Monday-Saturday from 11-8 pm and Sundays from 11-4:30 pm.

Plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and those who can’t (or don’t want to) eat gluten.

You can design your own salad or wrap…or just pick from any of their awesome combos like Beet Generation, Caprese Crunch, or Majestic Mandarin.

12 fresh soups each day…they are much nicer than the Soup Nazi, don’t worry.

Eating healthy and well was never so easy.

Plenty of room…we’re talking 3,000 square feet and enough seating for 35 people.

Free wifi!  Yes!  Have a power (the vitamin and nutrient kind) lunch, browse the interwebs, then return back to work (boo).
