Here it is…the day that so many have waited for. That time of year when you can head out, grab fresh produce picked straight from the farm, find great local products, and help support local farmers and businesses. Yes, it’s farmers’ market season and you’ll be happy to know that Westport Farmers’ Market is ready to open. Their first day for the 2013 season will be May 23 from 10 am – 2 pm. Then, every Thursday thereafter up until November 7 they will have their market. Here are the farms and products that you can expect to see all year:

Yes! In CA, farmers markets are YEAR ROUND. Quite a change!

Yeah, that’s a tough adjustment. Same thing we noticed in Seattle and especially Portland.

No, but it’s been a dream of ours. :) We went to Portland and Seattle two summers ago and just fell in love. We’d live there in a SECOND if we ever had the chance. :)

Jamie, we totally hear you. For that reason we’ve never been able to attend one of the market days, but we have been able to attend New Canaan and Stamford markets because they are during the weekends. We’ll cover your office when you head out to get some produce, okay? ;)
