Buddy Valastro from Cake Boss Bringing Carlo’s Bakery to Greenwich

So, there have been some massive moments of awesomeness over the past few years in terms of food in Connecticut.  One was the announcement that Dinosaur Bar-b-que was expanding and stomping down in Stamford.  And, then there’s this major announcement:  Carlo’s Bakery is expanding from Hoboken, NJ into Greenwich, CT!  Yes, this is the same Carlo’s Bakery from the TLC show, Cake Boss.  Each episode shows Buddy Valastro (THE Cake Boss) and staff putting together redonkulously crazy cakes that ordinary people could only dream of.  Cake Boss quickly became one of the most popular shows on television and, we argue, was the first show to truly fuel people’s love for food TV.  And, being on TV didn’t hurt the bakery either…lines stretch down the street still and people make the pilgrimage from all across the country just for a chance to have some cake and pastries.

Chances are that you were one of those people to drive out to Hoboken for a taste of heaven, but you won’t need to drive so far anymore.  Carlo’s Bakery will be located right by the Urban Outfitters (20 East Elm Street) in the heart of Downtown Greenwich.  See, we knew there were some great reasons for us to move to Greenwich.  But, we have a feeling that this is going to become one of the busiest bake shops in Greenwich or Connecticut, for that matter.  And, according to Greenwich Patch Editor Barbara Heins, we won’t have to wait that long.  Buddy plans to open up Carlo’s Bakery by Thanksgiving, will have baking and decorating classes, and he’ll even be on-site filming some episodes for Cake Boss.

Wow.

Mind-blown.
