Feastival on the Farm with Caseus and Jordan Caterers – Boulder Knoll Farm, Cheshire

5 Aug

Make sure that you put August 11 from 4-7 pm on your calendar.  That’s the date when Boulder Knoll Farm will be having Feastival on the Farm!  This awesome event will feature hayrides through their wildflower garden, tours of Boulder Knoll, cooking demos, workshops, and some wickedly amazing food.  But, hey, not any kind of food.  We’re talking grilled cheese sandwiches topped with Boulder Knoll Farm chard and tomatoes, summer local veggie gazpacho, and fresh local mozzarella salad from Jason Sobocinski’s The Cheese Truck and dessert from Jordan Caterers!  The farm just might burst with the enormous street cred of these two giants.  Jason Sobocinski not only has his own show on Cooking Channel called The Big Cheese, his food truck is one of the most popular in the state, and his Caseus Fromagerie Bistro and Ordinary in New Haven are culinary destinations that all Nutmeggers must try.  And, Jordan Caterers has developed an amazing business out of great service and amazing food that has translated into winning Best Caterer 12 years straight from CT Magazine.

Tickets are $35 (or 2 for $60) for adults and just $15 for children with proceeds from each ticket and purchase going towards Friends of Boulder Knoll.  That will help them to not only maintain the farm, but improve it and also provide educational outreach to the community.  You can also help out Boulder Knoll Farm by taking part in the tea-cup raffle.  Tickets (buy with cash) are $1 each, 6 for $5, or $15 for 10.  Buy your tickets here and fast…you won’t be able to buy them after 8/8!

Hi, Lauren Tagliatela here from the Friends of Boulder Knoll board. I just wanted to let you know all proceeds benefit the farm, not just $10 of each ticket!

This is always a fantastic and delicious event at the farm! Excited to see everyone there!

A small correction – Friends of Boulder Knoll receives 100% of the profits from the event, not just $10.
