Picnic in the Park w/ Eat for Equity Stamford 2 Benefit Mill River Collaborative

20 Aug

Eat for Equity Stamford is back with another great dinner event planned for August 31, but it’s different than any of their other events. When we had Kristien’s birthday party at our house, Meg and RJ told us that they wanted to do something really fun and summery this time around. Their thoughts: a giant picnic outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. We loved the idea and they made it official by posting the event a few weeks ago.

Mill River Park in Stamford, Home of Pork in the ParkThis is how it’s going to work:

  • Reserve your ticket by August 23 by clicking through to the Eventbrite site.
  • Come by to Mill River Park in Stamford (across from the Trump building on Washington) from 4-7.
  • There is no cost to enter or to eat, though a donation of $15-20 is awesome.
  • When you find your seat, you’ll have a picnic basket of goodies and food and drinks donated from local restaurants and markets to nom away on.

Check out this awesome menu:

Appetizer: Cucumber-Dill Cream Cheese Crackers with Cured Meats
Summer Salad: Corn, Edamame, Tomatoes & Balsamic
Main Dish: Raw Tomato-Season-Sauce over Spaghetti
Dessert: Watermelon-Mint Skewers
