Harvest Table 2013: Raising Funds for the Hungry in Fairfield County

25 Oct

On Sunday, November 3, be sure to head down to The Italian Center in Stamford between 11-2:30 for a day of food sampling, tips on entertaining, auctions, and a luncheon discussion on how to help the hungry of Fairfield County.  This is all part of Harvest Table, the annual fundraiser for New Covenant House of Hospitality.  NCHH is the only soup kitchen that provides for all Lower Fairfield County and is also part of the Community Plates network.  Entrance for the event is just $50 plus a non-perishable food item.  Besides raising money for this worthy charity, check out some other reasons why you should come along:

Food Samples and Style Watch

Get that Holiday Shopping Started Early

  • Silent auctions for area restaurants, spas, and other businesses
  • On-site raffle for a sunset cruise that includes a cocktail party for four on a luxury yacht

Luncheon with Discussion from Three Guest Speakers

  • Rosemary Cass:  creator and publisher of lifestyle magazine Act Two
  • Marina Marchese:  oh so sweet founder of Red Bee Artisanal Honey
  • Jackie Ekholm:  founder and owner of Moo Chocolates

To ensure your spot, visit the New Covenant House of Hospitality Site or call them up at (203) 964-8228.  If you can’t attend, think about a donation to help feed the hungry of Fairfield County.  They serve meals three times a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  That’s a lot of food, so they definitely need some support.
