With Chef Robert Irvine of Food Network, nothing’s impossible…certainly not even the craziest dinner scenario that can be dreamt of. Whether it’s preparing a meal in the freezing cold Ice Hotel in Quebec, a luau for 150 hungry Hawaiians, or even creating a magnificent meal using craft beer in only 7 hours, Chef Irvine can do it.
While the filming of his Dinner: Impossible shows might take days and require weeks or even months worth of work to put together into a finished product, he’s changing things up just a bit (note the sarcasm) on Sunday, 11/17 with Dinner Impossible: LIVE. Starting at 8 at the Ridgefield Playhouse, Chef Irvine will present the live version of his popular Food Network Show.
How will that work? Think of it as a cooking demo that morphs into an interactive audience experience, then evolves into difficult challenges that Chef Irvine must face to make his dinner. Impossible? For mere humans, yes…for Chef Irvine, nah. But, it’s still fun to watch him sweat (through multiple camera angles) and find his way through the challenges, no doubt.
Tickets are $67 or $150 for Gold Circle Seating which includes a cooking demo that begins at 6:30. Whatever ticket you buy, a portion of your purchase will go to help Hillside Food Outreach. You can also help Hillside out by bringing in a non-perishable food item. And, believe it or not, there’s more: 109 Cheese & Wine of Ridgefield will be in the lobby before the show with free wine and cheese tastings. Finally, after the show, you’ll have a chance to buy shirts, aprons, books, and meet Chef Irvine through a signing. We’re not sure if he’ll be selling his trademark black polo, though. ;)
