Jolly Good: Jones Family Winery Christmas Tea, Santa Visits + Last Minute Gifts

17 Dec

Jonesing (we made a punny joke) for something to do Thursday and over the weekend?  Well, Jones Family Winery in Shelton has got the hook up!  Aside from having their wine available for purchase and tasting, they’ll be holding a holiday tea tasting and cooking demo and have other great events going on, too.

First up is their Special Christmas Tea on 12/19 from 2-4 pm.  For $60 (register here) you’ll get some wine and will learn how to make some awesome tea time classics such as tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, and cardamom walnut cookies.  And, you can wash it all down with some Harney & Sons Tea.  Pinky in the air while you sip is optional.

Even if you can’t make this cooking classes, there are still other chances to get in that holiday spirit at Jones.  You could take the family out to visit Santa on 12/21 or 12/22 from 10-4 pm. Oh, and after the pics and asking Santa for a brand new PS4 or XBox One, travel into the tasting room and stock up for Christmas dinner!

And, if you’re one of those slackers who waits until the last minute to take care of things, they’ve got you covered too because they’ll be open on Christmas Eve from 9-4 pm so you’ll have plenty of liquid cheer, cider, and Christmas cookies.

Stay warm and full of holiday cheer,

Dan and Kristien

I’m a Sheltonite so I’m partial, but they really do have great cooking classes! My mom has been to a bunch of them and loves it :)
