As if listening to Star 99.9’s Big Jim and Anna show (5:30-10 am) didn’t wake ya up enough and get you that blast of energy to power through the day, they’ve gone and made it bigger and oh so steamy.  That’s ’cause they’ll be sampling 32 of the hottest bowls of soup here in Connecticut every single Friday.  No, they won’t be trying all of them at the same time, but will try 8 bowls that will be featured at Chowdafest every Souper Friday.

Here’s the schedule along with the categories and the soups that Jim and Anna will be slurping on:

As they drink, they’ll be offering up their thoughts and comments.  We know that Anna Zap’s got food running through her veins and it’s in her genes, so we’re very excited to hear what she thinks.  You’ll also want to tune in because they’ll be giving away family ticket packs during their show and even over the weekend, too.

Then, it all goes down on February 2 from 11-3 pm at Webster Bank Arena as Chowdafest VI happens!  Tickets are just $12 or $10 if you buy them at any Stop & Shop in Fairfield or New Haven Counties.  Please remember that proceeds for ticket sales go towards The Connecticut Food Bank and that you’ll need $5 for parking per car.

We’ll be catching up with you next week with another announcement that will add a totally new element to Chowdafest, so see you then…
