Our good buddies at Eat for Equity are back in 2014, now making great meals and raising lots of money for local charities for over a year. This time around they’ll be making a from-scratch meal with lots of local love at Franklin Street Works in Downtown Stamford. There is never any charge to come in and take part in Eat for Equity events, but donations of $15-20 are encouraged. And, this time around, the money donated will go right to Franklin Street Works, a fun art gallery that has thematic and rotating art exhibitions from various artists…and also a cafe.
When you come to the Art of Food dinner on 2/22 from 7-10 you’ll be able to check out their exhibit, “Neuromast: Certain Uncertainty and Contemporary Art.” Eat for Equity explains it like this: “[It] explores “emergence,” the theory that says unforeseeable results happen when a system reaches a certain level of complexity. We’re excited to integrate this into our menu!”
And, speaking of the menu, boom…here’s breakfast for dinner:
Cream Cheese Toasts:
Killer menu, great venue, so whatcha waiting for? Make your reservation now! You won’t need to print out the ticket, either, just show up and give your name. You don’t need to bring anything, either, but if you’d like to help supply some liquid cheer, beer and wine is always happily greeted. That being said, 21+ please.
And, if you’d love to be a part of the awesome Eat for Equity team, they are always on the look out for servers, chefs, and volunteers to put the great events together. E-mail them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
