Pig Out: Can You Conquer the Smoke + Bones BBQ Sundae Challenge?

6 Feb

A common duck.
An ornery chihuahua.
An average lamp.
A dainty bowling ball.
A mason jar of The Smoke & Bones BBQ Sundae Challenge.

What do all of these seemingly random things have in common? Yup, they all weigh six pounds. Six pounds? Six pounds!

While that might not seem like much when you’re carrying your chihuahua in your purse down the red carpet or throwing strike after strike down the lanes, that’s a helluva lot to shove into your face.  But, at least it’s not a six pound duck or lamp that you’re eating…we’re talking ’bout the highly sought after BBQ of Smoke & Bones BBQ of Derby, CT.

No longer content with just serving their smoked, fried, and grilled comfort food, they took things up a few hundred levels with The Smoke & Bones BBQ Sundae Challenge. As you can see from the pic above, it starts with a layer of 2 lbs. of baked beans, then they add a middle layer of 2 lbs. of coleslaw, then top it with 2 lbs. of delicate and juicy pulled pork.  Oh, and top that baby with a pickle.

If you conquer this beast in 30 minutes, you’ll get the entire meal (or is that more like 6 meals?) free. Plus, you’ll get some major swag and street cred in the form of a t-shirt and your name on the Smoke & Bones Heavyweights wall!  If you can’t do it, you’ll need to pay up:  $34.99 bones worth.  Even still, that’s a great deal.  If you dare take this challenge, please send pictures our way on Twitter or Facebook.

Tell us…will you attempt to take down this behemoth or will you cower in the shadows of this massively BBQ-heavy jar?

It’s the 2 lbs of cole slaw that would scare me! (The 2 lbs of beans should scare anyone around me). I think I’ll pass.
