The debate rages on: what kind of potato cut produces the crispest exterior, yet has the perfect interior and crunch when you rip through it? Is it crinkle cut, French fries, hand cut, steak, waffle, tater, spiral cut, curls, or even those creepy smiley face ones?
While we may never truly know the answer, Shake Shack is onto something…plus they don’t want to use frozen anymore. They are phasing out their use of crinkle cut fries and replacing them with their fresh cut skinny fries. The new fries are already beginning to be served in NYC and will make their way out to surrounding areas soon.
