Breaking beer news: Cask Republic Stamford is hosting their first beer dinner. Oh, and in the words of General Manager Casey Dohme, “It’s going to be pretty epic.” That’s because Cask Republic will be featuring five specially selected Cask Ales right from Blue Point Brewing of Long Island. They haven’t picked them out yet, but that’s part of the reason that they are heading out to the Blue Point Brewery Cask Ales Festival this weekend. After sampling what they have to offer, the Cask Republic and Ginger Man crew will decide which 5 casks will make it to the 5C Blue Point Beer Dinner on Tuesday, May 6. The inaugural beer dinner begins at 7 pm and costs $85 tax and tip.
Oh, but we’re not done yet. Not only will the beer will be epic, but so will the food. Consider it a Best of the Best event, featuring every head chef and Executive Chef Carrion from the Skal Restaurant Group. Each chef will have a cask beer and will then create a course to pair it with. When you’re done, you’ll have a five course menu designed specifically with the Blue Point casks in mind.
