Talk about wild success, Lobstercraft has clearly and truly made it big. While they started as a food truck hitting up the Rowayton Farmers’ Market, they quickly became known as the place in CT to get awesome food and lobster rolls. Then, they definitely took things to the next level as they became one of the main food trucks that would hang at The Beer Garden at Harbor Point. Recently, we even told you that they now have two trucks…and now this: a brand new restaurant in Darien and one coming to 1 Penn Plaza.
Here are the details:
Lobstercraft has partnered with Imian Hospitality (The Beer Garden) to open up their first brick-and-mortar spot at 286 Tokeneke Road, right at the border of Darien and Rowayton. In addition to their famous lobster rolls, you can also expect to devour their decadent lobster bisque, their amazing lobster-kielbasa mac & cheese, and they will even steam a fresh-cracked lobster for ya to go. How’s that for an easy meal or picnic time? Lobstercraft Darien opens this summer, probably sometime in July.
In addition, when you’re in NYC you’ll be able to get some Lobstercraft, too! That’s because they’ll be opening up a restaurant at 1 Penn Plaza, right across from Madison Square Garden. More on the Lobstercraft NYC opening later.
About Lobstercraft:
Lobstercraft started as a food truck in 2012 and is run by Captain Mike Harden and his chef-partner, Trond Fletcher. Both Captain Mike and Trond keep it local by using bacon and kielbasa from Ox Hollow Farms in Roxbury, CT and uses buns from Muro’s Bakery in Norwalk. Lobstercraft’s flagship lobster roll combos include The Heat Wave, The Coastal, LBLT, and The California Roll.
