7th Annual Stamford Charity Chili Cook-off Promises a Spicy Sunday

27 Oct

Last year when we went to the Stamford Charity Chili Cook-off, we were impressed with the entries. The other thing that we were impressed with was all the groceries that people brought to Stamford Museum & Nature Center that they donated to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. And, obviously people have found out about this great contest because last year’s turn out was the biggest ever.

But, this year will be even bigger and, yes, even better! Just come by on 11/2 from 11-3 at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center to taste a bunch of chili and vote on your favorites. Admission to the Cook-off is $10 (proceeds are split between The Food Bank and SM&NC) per person or $5 per person if you bring a bag of non-perishable food items. Just a note: kids that are 10 and under have free entry. There’s an additional entry fee to get into Stamford Museum and Nature Center for non-members and that’s just $10 per person.

After the contest and you’ve had your fill, you’ll definitely want to stroll around SM&NC. There’s a great store to check out, there are plenty of trails to explore, there are plenty of animals to ooh and ahh over, and there are lots of other things to do like the annual Touch-a-Truck event.
