Beer Geeks to Converge @ BeerConn in December!

5 Nov

In a few weeks on December 13, we have a good hunch where you’ll be: at the inaugural BeerConn at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport. The brouhaha is so brew-centric that there are actually two sessions: Session 1 goes from 12:30-4 and Session 2 goes from 5:30-9!  Tix are just $35 per person (tax and fees extra), $45 the day of (if there are any left), and just $10 for those saintly designated drivers. You should be able to buy these tickets today, so keep checking their site!

And, as for the drinkable deets, here we go:

🍺 You’ll get a 5 oz. souvenir tasting glass with 2 oz. pours.

🍻 In terms of beer, there will be over 50 breweries with more than a 100 different beers.

🍻 Yes, there will be local beer too! We talked with Starfish Junction, the organizers of the event, and they said that there has been a great deal of interest from CT and NY breweries to become involved.

🍻 Plan out your strategy by looking at the BeerConn map and where breweries are with Findmytap.

🍻 There will be Beer Seminars, too! More on that soon!

🍔 Food will be available for purchase all around the Webster Bank Arena.

❤️ BeerConn has heart, too: they are helping to raise money for The Village (an organization that, “[Provides] a full range of behavioral health treatment for children and youth, foster care and adoption, and community support services for children and their families in the Greater Hartford region). They’ll be doing this through ticket sales, coat check sales, raffle tickets, their Grand Stand Sports silent auction, and more.

BeerConn is organized by Starfish Junction who were the force behind the Philly Craft Beer Festival and North Fork Craft Beer BBQ + Wine Festival. They chose to expand into Connecticut because they saw that the beer culture here was massively strong and very active.
