It’s crazy how time sneaks up on you, but we’re almost at Thanksgiving. And, you know that when this time of year comes around, the UBS Parade takes over Downtown Stamford. This year the parade takes place on 11/23, starting at noon. We have the route up on the custom-made map (yeah, we’re total map nerds like that) along with some suggested places just a few steps away from where you’ll be viewing the parade.
In addition, you can stop by on 11/22 to watch The Giant Balloon Inflation Party thanks to Point72 Asset Management. The humongous balloons will be inflating at the corner of Hoyt and Summer, so you’ll want to watch that. And, you’ll also want to watch the XPogo Student Team, dance numbers from Locust Performing Arts Center of Stamford, clowns (we promise, no Twisty), holiday characters, and the Big Man aka Santa.
Expert, insider tip: the Stamford Lions Club will be at the Inflation Party with a hot chocolate booth. Hot chocolate as well as snacks like granola bars and cookies will also be available, all free. If you’d like to help with a donation, that would be great, though! They’ll use the money to help the sight and hearing impaired, so chip in a few bucks, warm up, and eat up.
