Eat for Equity Stamford has gone to the dawgs for its next meal benefitting Kids Helping Kids

26 Nov

Eat for Equity is back with some more awesome food and great times! Anybody who’s anyone will be meeting up at 15 Fairway Drive in Stamford from 7-10 on 12/6 for an all-growned up version of a meal in support of Kids Helping Kids. Here’s more about KHK:

“Our mission is to develop leadership skills through youth-led service projects.  We empower students to take their passion and turn it into action to make a difference in the lives of other kids.”

And here are just some of the things they’ve done:

❤️ They’ve thrown 22 birthday parties for children in homeless shelters

❤️ Baked and sold 4,100 loaves of pumpkin bread to help children

❤️ Collected 23,500 pairs of shoes

❤️ Collected over 60,000 books to launch libraries

As we mentioned, Eat for Equity has organized a meal that will help benefit this great organization. There’s never an entry fee, but you do need to register and they do suggest a donation of $15-20. Here’s the menu which will be a fun take on kid’s classic foods:

🍔 Mini Grilled Cheeses: Sage, Hot Oil or Cranberries

🍔 Sweet Potato Fries, Carrot Sticks & Homemade Ranch Dressing, Coleslaw

🍔 Hot Dawg Buffet: Beef & Veggie with Homemade Condiments

🍔 Homemade Dunkeroos & Fluffernutters

Because Eat for Equity is volunteer driven and the majority of the food comes from local markets and farms, they can always use help in organizing, serving, cleaning and getting the word out. If that sounds good to you, e-mail them at and/or learn more about them by checking out our first post on them.
