Beer’d Brewing Makes Fairfield County Debut at Coalhouse; More Meet the Brewers Nights Planned

7 Feb

Beer’d Brewing, based out of Stonington, has been on our bucket list of CT breweries for quite a while. The good word on the streets is that they have some of the best beer in the state, but we’ve never even had the chance to try it. Our problem: it takes about 2 hours to get there from Greenwich. We are planning to hit them up in April while we’re hitting up Saybrook Point Inn to check out a food-centric weekend of awesomeness.

So, we’re so extremely excited to share that they’ll be taking over the taps at Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford on March 12 from 5-11. This marks the first time that Beer’d will be served on tap in Fairfield County. We’re interested in what brews they’ll be pouring, as some of their usual styles have excellent ratings and amazing reputations. In particular, we hope to see their Whisker’d Wit, Dogs & Boats DIPA, and their highly-sought after Hobbit Juice DIPA. Stay drinking until 8 and there will be live music from Keltic Kick.

Some other dates to keep on top of for more beer-fueled awesomeness at Coalhouse:

2/10, 5 PM: Meet the Brewer of DuVig Brewing

2/12: Stout Night with all stouts $5

2/17, 5 PM: Meet the Brewer of Stubborn Beauty

2/19, 5 PM: Heavy Seas Flight Night

2/24, 5 PM: Meet the Brewer of Blue Point Brewing Company
