Three60 Events, hot off the heels of their Mercado Street Food + Rave, is introducing Stamford and Fairfield County to CT’s first ever vegetarian food rave. And, what better title for this new event that will takeover Bank Street Events Banquet Hall than Verde, meaning green in Italian and Spanish? All of this is going down on Sunday, April 26 from 3-6 pm.
You can expect more than 15 restaurants and vendors to be on hand, offering up some awesome vegetarian fare. But, don’t expect just salads here. Local chefs will be presenting creative spins on dishes and putting out high-quality foods that just so happen to be vegetarian. This event will definitely help to fight that myth that vegetarian food is bland. Actually, we’d have to say that some of the best dishes that we’ve had at restaurants haven’t included meat.
Also, like last time, you can drink the day away at the cash bar and bust some moves with a live and local DJ who will be on hand. Entry for Verde will be just $5 which will not only cover some costs, but will also provide a sizable donation that will go to a local charity. Then, from there, you get to pick which food you’d like to try, in most cases, $3-4 dollars, with no dish costing more than $5.
Mercado was a great success with hundreds of hungry and thirsty people coming into Stamford to get their noms on even despite the annoying snow that fell. Well, we think that we’re in luck because there shouldn’t be any snow left April 26. Dear God, please let there be no more snow . . . ever.
If you’re a restaurant or business owner and want to be a part of the action (and why wouldn’t you?), then make sure to e-mail Three60 Events or call them up at (203) 685-6711. To learn more about Three60 Events, check out their site and our post about their work.
