Events
4/23 Upper Crust Bagel Company in Darien will be hosting a Live Music and Local Art night from 7-10. In addition, they’ll be serving wine, beer, and small bites.
4/24 Kris from Foolproof Brewing will be on hand at Harry’s in Fairfield for a beer tasting from 4-7. Come back on Saturday for a wine tasting from 1-4 that includes Village Wine.
4/25 Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration takes from 10-4, is free, and features a farmers’ market, live demos, food trucks (including The Local Meatball), and features ways to go green.
4/25 YMCA of Greenwich is hosting Healthy Kids Day from 11:30-3 pm and Have a Ball Food Truck will be there.
4/25 The party’s going on in Black Rock’s Norden Club at 4 Seabright Avenue from 7-11! There will be plenty of apps from local restaurants, an open bar filled with beer, wine, and soda, music, and a silent auction for just $25 or $20 for members. This party is an important fundraiser for the Black Rock Day Parade.
4/27 Amore Cucina & Bar will donate all of next Monday’s proceeds to the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Race for the Cure.
4/27 Pick up a book and a brew and stop by Lorca in Stamford at 6 pm. They’ll be hosting their monthly “Books N Brews” event for the book An Unnecessary Woman.
4/28 Bistro Versailles in Greenwich is hosting another great tasting dinner with wines paired by the chef. This time around the event is called La Soirée Bourguignonne, costs $80, and starts at 7. For reservations call them up at (203) 661-6634.
4/29 Check out Mama’s Boy Southern Table & Refuge for “Campfire & Charcuterie” featuring High West Whiskey for an awesome time while you go “Urban Bourbon Camping.” Seats are $85 each and reservations can be made by calling (203) 956-7171.
4/30 Long Meadow is playing one of our favorite restaurants in Stamford: The Fez. Stop on by 8 for some tunes!
5/2 Derby Day is back at Plan B Burger Bar with raffles, a best dressed contest, a hat contest, a Derby Day inspired menu, Four Roses Mint Juleps all damn day, and of course a live feed of the races. It all goes down from 4-7 pm.
5/2 Round the corner down to Washington Prime for a Kentucky Derby viewing party from 4-6:30 with some Woodford Reserve drink specials.
5/3 Cinco de Mayo Block Party with Mezon in Danbury! Stop by from 4-8 for a cocktail contest, a live DJ and music, outdoor seating, dancing, games, $5 plates and drinks, and more.

Bar Sugo in Norwalk has launched a “Pasta Tasting Menu” that’s available Tuesday-Thursday for $49 per person. Check the picture above for the menu and wine pairings that cost just $29 more.
Pinot’s Palette in Stamford, where you paint and drink, then drink some more is offering $5 off your first time visit for a painting session. Just follow this link. :)

BevMax in Stamford now offers delivery for Stamford, Riverside, Old Greenwich, Greenwich, Darien, and New Canaan. Go to http://stamford.bevmax.com to place your order. Each order has a $9.95 flat delivery free and a $50 minimum . . . not too bad.
Bistro 7 in Wilton is now called Babaloo Cocina Latina. Check out their new menu and new vibe this weekend when they have a soft opening.
Fairfield and Greenwich Cheese Company will be sending two of their best cheesemongers to compete against the country’s best at the Cheesemonger Invitational!
Newcannanite.com reports that Gates Restaurant in New Canaan has closed, or rather, has been sold to a new owner. We’ll have to wait and see what will go in behind those classic, beautiful doors.
Onyx Moonshine is launching a bottle of their liquor into space on 5/2, attached to a weather balloon. It will be in space for a few days then will land in the Long Island Sound. More info here.
Sugar and Olives in Norwalk is featured in The Daily Meal as one of the Top 20 Greenest Restaurants in America for 2015! Check them out at #18 as well as plenty more nearby spots in NYC.
