We’re almost in May, so we know what that means: time to think about the beach and time to think about more beer. Okay, so we’ve been thinking about beer all year long, but cut us some slack as we try to riff on this. And to help your love of open air, warm sand, and sipping on brewskis, Ken Tuccio of Welcome to Connecticut Podcast presents a series of summertime events called Beers at the Beach.
Each event will happen monthly at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, right at Ripka’s Beach Cafe. The focus of each Beer at the Beach is to highlight a CT brewery that we don’t see enough of in Fairfield County. So, what better way to start than with Beer’d Brewing of Stonington? Yes, THE Beer’d Brewing that has an epic devoted following of Beer’dos and pumps out brews like Hobbit Juice, Dogs & Boats, Kittens & Canoes, and Whisker’d Wit.
To check out the First Beer at the Beach with Ken and Beer’d Brewing, come on by Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 and get ready for a killer good time. Not only will you get an exclusive beer tasting of some of Brewer and owner Aaren Simoncini’s best creations, but you’ll also get a food ticket good for a burger, a veggie burger, or two dogs. Also, while you’re drinking up and chowing down, you can check out and even take part in a live interview with Beer’d which will become a future W2CT podcast. And, to show your devotion to Beer’d, you can buy some swag from them right at Calf Pasture!
Tickets are $35 if you buy online or $45 at the door, but we wouldn’t wait to purchase them because these tix will probably go pretty damn fast.
