6/13 Ambler Farm’s annual Sunset Dinner goes from 6-10. For $95 (members) or $110, you’ll get the farm’s signature cocktail, beer, wine, and other beverages as well as learn about their gardens, and will get the chance to take down dish after dish served up family style. The dinner is being served by Barcelona and the New Zealand Lamb Company.
6/14 It’s Georgetown Day, starting at 12! There will be food, music, a chili cook-off, a beer tent, vendors, and there will be helluva lot of fun!
6/16 It’s Bloomsday in Norwalk where O’Neill’s celebrates James Joyce by reading selections from the classic Ulysses. O’Neill’s encourages you to dress up and strongly encourages you to donate $10 to Literacy Volunteers.

Back 40 Kitchen in Greenwich which is close to opening will soon have Grab & Go dishes available at Back 40 Mercantile in Greenwich. What a great spot!

6/13 Ali Baba’s Fusion is having a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony that starts at 1 at 986 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden.
7/1 Gerard at Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford says that the bar addition will be ready by July 1, pumping this hotspot up to 72 beers on tap.
CT liquor and beer laws will change starting July 1. You’ll be able to get growler fills at restaurants and pubs, extended hours, and other changes. Full details here.
Coals in Port Chester and Bronxville won the Beer + Burger Blast last night at the Westchester Wine & Food Festival!
Plan B Fairfield is getting closer to opening and plans to be ready to go during the summer. They are hiring all positions right now, too, so come by today or tomorrow from 9 am – 7 pm.
The Hartford Courant reports that Bear’s Smokehouse on Arch Street is moving about a minute away to Front Street so they can have a bigger spot.
CT News reports that COBS Bread will open on June 24 at 1057 High Ridge Road. On that day, they’ll be donating all sales to the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford. COBS Bread started in British Columbia, is owned by Baker’s Delight in Australia, and this Stamford location will be the first ever CT location.

6/7 Black Hog Brewery is not only releasing bottles of their Bourbon Barleywine starting at 12, but Will Siss (Beersnobwrites) will be on hand signing copies of his brand new book, Connecticut Beer.
6/8 Maine Lunch is up against Maine Another One in the latest Beer Fight at Little Pub Wilton starting at 4:30. Which keg will kick first and take home the prize? We’d have to say Lunch, but we could be wrong.
6/11 Beers at the Beach with Beer’d Brewing and Ken Tuccio from Welcome 2 CT has a special guest: the awesome Chef Plum! We love this guy and he definitely knows his beer, too, so please join us and say hi when you see us there.
