14 Local Chefs + The Wailers ft. at Most Innovative Chefs Gala @ 2015 Greenwich Wine + Food Fest

1 Jul

While we love the Grand Tasting day at the Greenwich Wine + Food Festival, we have a real weak spot for the Friday night event: the Most Innovative Chefs Gala. The event features the best food and chefs from Connecticut and Westchester, drinks, and live music from big bands.

And, while we’ve always had a great time, this time around we think that we’re going to have the best time ever! That’s because The Wailers (yes, THE Wailers, AKA Bob Marley’s former band) will be hitting the stage during the night of September 25 from 7-10:30 at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich. Oh, but there will be much more, especially with the featured chefs and restaurants who will be preparing some amazing bites of food. These chefs include:

Jes Bengston: The Granola Bar (Westport)

David DiBari: The Cookery (Dobbs Ferry)

Alison Awerbuch: Abigail Kirsch at The Loading Dock (Stamford)

Beck Bolender: One Twenty One (North Salem)

Francesco Casu: Golden View Firenze (Greenwich)

Renato Donzelli: Basso Café (Norwalk)

Nick DiBona: Madison Kitchen (Larchmont)

Erik Erlichson: Bistro Versailles (Greenwich)

Stephen Lewandowski: Harlan Social (Stamford) and Harlan Publick (SoNo)

Pat Pascarella: Bar Sugo (Norwalk)

Matt Storch: The Chelsea (Fairfield) and Match (SoNo)

David Raymer: Strada 18 (SoNo)

Luke Venner: Elm (New Canaan)

David White: Vespa (Westport)

Tickets for the Most Innovative Chefs Gala are $350 per person with a portion of the profits (as is true for all GWFF events) going to Hole in the Wall Gang, founded by Paul Newman. But, if the Gala is too much money for you, there are other options for the Greenwich Wine + Food Fest:

There will be a Wine Dinner Under the Stars on 9/24 to kick off the party! They are still working out the details, but it’ll be five courses paired with some award-winning wines.

And, the big day is 9/26 with the Grand Tasting and so much more. For $145, from 12:30-10 you’ll get access to the Grand Tasting Village that will feature an amazing amount of restaurants and drinks sponsors. Get full, get toasty, get happy! And, there’s plenty of other things going on, too, like celebrity chef and drink demos, book signings, the 2nd Annual Top Bartender Showdown, Barbecue & Bluegrass (now free), Ultimate Brew Master Tent, and the 5th Annual Burger Battle. Make a full day of it and you can check out Little Big Town who hits the stage from 6:30-10.

There are also other pricing options including VIP access and different levels of sponsorship.

GREENWICH 2015 WINE+FOOD FESTIVAL

The GREENWICH 2015 WINE+FOOD FESTIVAL is a three-day event that benefits The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a nationwide organization dedicated to providing healing to children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses, as well as The Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation. The festival is hosted by Serendipity Magazine, in conjunction with other event sponsors.
