Wicked Fresh: Preview Boothbay Lobster Company at Pinot’s Palette – Stamford, CT

Pinot's Palette and Boothbay Lobster Company

Fairfield County can be funny at times. We’re a county with a beautiful shoreline, but when you’re searching for seafood restaurants along that shoreline, only a few good options come to mind with the rest serving mediocre fried food or from frozen flops. So, when we went to Paloma a few months back and saw a sign for Boothbay Lobster Company, we were just a bit excited. Really? we thought . . . the possibility of some great seafood right by the water?

We’re definitely excited about the possibility of another great seafood spot that’s opening in spring of 2016, especially after our recent trip to Cape Cod and Portland, Maine where we had at least 5 lobster rolls each . . . but we’re even more excited to tell you that there’s a special preview this Thursday, September 10. For that special night you’ll show up at Pinot’s Palette in Stamford (25 Harbor Point Road), put your order in from the Boothbay Lobster Crawler food truck, then they’ll deliver it right to you before you start to paint. Pinot painters will get a $1 discount on their preview menu which will expand as they launch out to more spots. Oh, and they’ve partnered with the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County and will donate a meal for each lobster roll that’s purchased, so order two!

Here are the options that will be available to you that night:

Fresh Maine Lobster Roll, CT Style ($15)

Fresh picked lobster tail, claw, and knuckle meat, served with warm butter. Comes with coleslaw and potato chips.

Fresh Maine Lobster Roll, Downeast Style ($15)

Fresh picked lobster tail, claw, and knuckle meat, served with mayo. Comes with coleslaw and potato chips.

Signature Sinful BLC Sandwich

Fresh Maine lobster, Smith’s Smokehouse Bacon, grilled with Maine Cheddar and Comte Cheeses. Comes with coleslaw and potato chips.

To place your order, go to boothbaylobster.com/pinots. And, to set up your reservation for the “Star Gazers” class (pictured above) visit here. Your $45 registration fee gets you instruction, the canvas, and all the materials to make your own masterpiece. Feel free to BYOB, though they do sell some wine.

After Thursday, you’ll need to make sure that you’re following Boothbay Lobster Company on Facebook to see where they’ll be next. Here’s the rest of their menu that they plan to work in: Classic Lobster BLT, Lobster or Crab Salad, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Original Potato Pops (Grandson Farm potatoes, mashed, then put in tot form), and Whoopee Pies.

Stay tuned to OmNomCT for more deets about the opening and when we finally get to devour some rolls and food from the truck and their brick and mortar spot when they open.
