New England Brewing Company fans have a lot to be excited about. First of all, they are releasing G-bot, their answer to the controversy surrounding their stellar Gandhi-bot beer that brought the ire of many Indians across the country and world. As you can see with the can, many elements remain the same such as the bright stripes of color, but some things are different . . . namely Gandhi-bot, thrown into a scrap metal pile, reaching his hands up and giving the peace sign. The formula is the same, so don’t freak out!
Expect G-bot to hit stores by the end of December/start of January and expect to see more of those bad boys. If you remeember, NEBCo has boosted production capacity. Hopefully this will curb some stores who price-gouge 4-packs of Bot to $15 or higher. As NEBCo has said in the past, if you’re being gouged, let it rot on the shelves to send a message.
Along with those shiny new G-bot cans will be Imperial Stout Trooper, coming out around the same time. These cans will take the place of the classic bottle that goes out around holiday time. For more on the graphics for IST, see our post.
If you can’t wait that long for G-bot or IST, then you just might want to stop by the brewery next week to fill up some growlers of the good stuff. Before you go, check out their FB page to see what’s on tap that day. Holiday hours are:
12/22: 3-7
12/23: 12-7
12/24: 10-2
12/29: 3-7
Very cool! I need to pick some of this up, but sounds like I’m probably better off hitting the brewery instead of paying inflated prices.

The brewery is always the best bet, but, honestly, most places charge a fair price for Gandhi-Bot aka G-bot. There are just a few stores who are asses and overcharge because they know people love it. Those stores need to feel the impact of people not buying their beer.

Cool deal. I’m due for another visit there anyways, but I’ll keep an eye out in stores too!
