Normally we’ve posted up our Fairfield County food news and CT beer news together, but there was so much going on this week that we just had to share the love exclusive with the CT beer scene. Check out all these great events, dinners, release info, and more.
1/15 Firefly Hollow is doing a Cone Flakes release! $10 gets you a 4 pack with a limit of 1 case per person. That’s a stellar deal and so worth the trip.
1/18 Craft 260 is having another home brewer’s competion and you’re invited. Judges include reps from Sierra Nevada and Two Roads. There are a ton of great prizes for the winners. :)
1/25 These Guys Brewing is hosting a Sons of Liberty Spirits Company Whiskey Dinner for $70 per person, all in. This whiskey is actually made from beer. ;)
2/4 Still Hill opens their tap room at 2 pm and will begin regular hours Fridays 4-8 and Saturday 12-6. BOOM!
Witchdoctor Brewing has its zoning approval, now they head to the town to apply for other permits. Things are looking good!
Back East Brewing has some limited amounts of brews left in the can for ya: Palate Mallet, Blackberry Berliner Weisse, and their Wakatu Pale Ale that we’ve heard a ton of great things about. They also have $6 growler fills of their Winterfest. Hours are F 4-7 and Sa 12-4.
No Worries Brewing has two new brews on tap this week: their Still of the Night Oatmeal Stout and their Pretty Fly for a Rye Guy IPA! They’re open Friday-Sunday, so come get yours!
Relic Brewing has a bunch of great brews on tap for ya including The Huntsman Oatmeal Stout, Equinox Session IPA, our favorite Demiana Dark Saison, Fools Gold, and a six month aged Ryddle Brett Saison. Hours are Th 4-7, F 4-7, and Sa 12-4.
Nothing too crazy this week at Steady Habit, just regular hours from 12-6 on Friday and 11-3 on Saturday. They have their tap list up on their FB page and also on beermenus.com.
Call it a meeting of the minds . . . and two of CT’s BEST breweries: Kent Falls and Steady Habit have begun collaboration on a beer at Steady Habit. Oh, this is gonna be killer good.
Speaking of Kent Falls, have you had Zep on the Jukebox yet? It’s getting crazy good reviews with words like juicy and juice bomb. Oh man. Need this in our lives.
Phil Markowski of Two Roads recently visited Shearwater Organic Coffee Roasters in Trumbull to check out how their awesome coffee is made. We sense a collobaration in the works!
