It’s that time of year when Camp Promise raises vital funds in Fairfield County to fund their amazing summer camp experience. Basically, Camp Promise holds a camp at 3 Kids Camp in Coventry and for one week campers (of all ages) have a chance to take parts in activities like swimming, canoeing, arts and crafts, yoga, self-defense, dances, and more. These campers, who might have muscular dystrophy or other neuromuscular diseases, get the chance to have a fun summertime experience that they normally would never have!
You can donate to them directly, or you can help give back to their awesome work by:
- Dropping off dinero at donation boxes at Carvel of Stamford (1980 West Main Street), Stamford Town Center Subway, and both Merrit Parkway Subway Stores in Greenwich.
- Buy flying pigs that you can name or dedicate to others at Westhill and Stamford High through late March, Palmer’s Market in Darien through 3/17, and Garden Catering in Old Greenwich, Stamford, Fairfield, and Norwalk through 3/17.
- Eat at Garden Catering Old Greenwich, Stamford, Fairfield, or Norwalk on 3/17 and a portion of sales will be split between Camp Promise East and ALS Therapy Development Institute.
If you can, please help out. And, look, if you go with option 3, order nuggets and cones for you, your friends, and all your loved ones. You’ll be eating big AND helping others out.
