Wakeman Town Farm in Westport is a farm, sure, and they grow crops and have plenty of cute chickens, but it’s way more than just fruits and veggies. One of the most important aspects of WTF is that they are, truly, a community organization. They invite people to the farm to check it out, learn how things work, and more. And, one of the greatest aspects is that they are working hard to connect younger people to the farm and farming through classes, workshops, and even summer camp sessions.
And that’s where two grants come in.
The first one is the Seeds of Change grant (you can vote once per day) which can help them take in either $10k or $20k which would be a major game-changer. Votes need to be in by this Monday, April 18, so put your vote in today.
Also, they are in the top running for a $5k grant from the Safer Brand Grant. That contest is a bit off from ending, coming to a close on May 31 . . . but you can still vote today and once every other day.
Helping out is just a few clicks away! Once you’ve voted, make sure to help spread the word to friends and family, too.
