Another reason to check out one of Stamford’s best spots . . .
The Fez @ 227 Summer Street in Stamford has been open since the summer after a series of renovations and they have added something new in to the mix. In addition to their amazing Moroccan and Mediterranean-inspired food and their live music, they’ve also added art gallery to their list. Just stop by to eat or get drinks and you’ll be able to check out a different featured artist from the Stamford Art Association depending on the time you stop in.
Right now the art of Kathy Muir is featured Artist in Residence. The exhibit, “Places in Our Minds,” is a series of black and white photos of the ordinary and everyday that have been printed out onto square metal sheets. Muir’s exhibit runs through May 14 and will be taken over on May 23 by Susan Christiano. She’s not only a Stamford resident, but she is also a science teacher. If you’d like to attend the opening party of “As I See It,” stop by from 5-6.
Just a note: all art on display is for sale, so if you dig something, dig down for that wallet. ;)
Oh, and one more note: make sure that you check out The Fez on May 22 at 8 pm for the band Sirsy. We just saw them over the weekend and were blown away.
