Ninety 9 Bottles Beer Fest Returns + Your Shot at Tix!

9 May

Update: we generated a random winner from all the contestants on FB and on here and our winner is: Timothy Bartlett! Congratulations and thanks to everyone for entering!

Tucked off from downtown SoNo is a park that most people have probably never noticed. We’re talking about Oyster Shell Park . . . and it has some breathtaking views of the Sound. This is exactly where the 3rd Annual Ninety 9 Bottles Craft Beer Festival will be, again, this year, as they celebrate with great brews and killer eats. The action goes down on June 4 from 2-5 with tickets costing $40 or $20 for designated drivers. You’ll get unlimited pours of beer, live music, and access to food trucks!

Tickets are already on sale, but if you’ve been on the fence, don’t be. We’ve gone every year and each year we have a progressively better time. To push you over the edge we’ve teamed up with Ninety 9 Bottles (a great liquor store in Norwalk, Westport, and Trumbull) for a giveaway. Just tell us (by replying here, on FB, or on Instagram) if you could drink 99 bottles of any beer, what would it be? Give us your hoppiest, sourest, stoutiest, or lageriest answer by Friday, 5/13 at 5 pm because that’s when the contest ends. At that time we’ll pick a winner of a pair of tickets, will update this post, then will hunt you down to get you those tix.

As we get more details on the food trucks and the brewery list, we’ll let you know. Also, be aware that new this year is a VIP option. You can buy a regular ticket and upgrade later when it becomes available.

We hope you can make this great event . . . cheers!

Founders breakfast stout! The name basically says it’s acceptable to drink it with breakfast. Enough said.

I’m obsessed with sour beers, and my favorite is Stillwater’s Gose Gone Wild! Love the name and it can be tough to find, so if I had 99 bottles I would definitely drink them all :)

I’ve only had one or two from them but loved them! They are doing a tap takeover at The Hops Company next Wednesday the 18th so I definitely hope to try more from them then :)

Edward from Hill Farmstead. At just a hair over 5% ABV, you can enjoy a few and still be in good shape.
And the best thing is that it still has a fantastic taste with hops & the other elements all in a perfect balance.

If I could drink 99 bottles it would be of Harpoon Wannamango. A yummy seasonal that’s just fruity enough and puts me in a beachy summer state of mind, cheers!

If I could drink 99 bottles of any beer, it would be Magic Hat. If nothing else, the quotes will keep you going.

If I could drink 99 bottles of any beer, what would it be? Hmmm…. good one. There are so many to choose but I’ll go with Newcastle. Yes is it extremely drinkable and above average in flavor. More importantly it was what I was drinking to calm my nerves at dinner before I asked my wife to marry me. She said yes, the rest is history and if I got to drink 99 of them it would be a great memory every time.
