From now until September 1, you can get your Connecticut Chef’s Challenge tix at a discounted rate. Yup, for just $60 you can pick up a ticket that would normally cost $75. Entry gets you in on the action as you watch some of CT’s best chefs compete, passed apps, dessert, and free wine and beer. Or, you could buy a VIP ticket ($100) that gets you into the Chef’s Reception and gets you a chance at winning a seat at the Chef’s Table Tasting Seat. There are also other seating options available that get you a guaranteed seat at the Chef’s Tasting Table.

Adam Bedini of StrEATery took home the belt last year!
During the contest, Chef Plum will be giving a live play by play of the action and there will be a live broadcast from Star 99.9. This year’s competitors will have their work cut out for them as they compete against Chef Vecchitto who won the previous year and Chef Gonzalez who won the Food Truck Throwdown. Up for grabs is not only bragging rights, but also $1,000 and a qualifying ticket for entry into the 2016 World Food Competition. The contest and fundraiser for the Optimus Foundation happens on September 22 from 5-9 at its new home: Aitoro’s Appliance and Electronics in Norwalk.
