Most of us know The Salvation Army as the ones who ring the bells outside of stores at Christmas time or as the ones who take donations to sell in their stores, but they do a whole lot more than that. In fact, they serve over 60 million meals a year across the country with 400,000 of those going to CT residents along with 200,000 grocery orders for those in need. You can imagine that supporting these efforts can be tough, but there are people who step up and give back. But, imagine if it was even easier to help give back and to raise money for this organization?
Okay, don’t imagine anymore. That’s because from November 1-5, CT will have the first ever Food for Thought Restaurant Week. Just dine at any participating restaurant, and they will give 10% of your order to The Salvation Army.
We’ll have more details soon about the restaurants that will be participating, but today we wanted to reach out to our restaurant buddies. Yeah, we’re about to tag up a storm on FB and Twitter, so get ready. We’d love for you to get involved, you in? There are no fees to participate, no menu requirements, and no prix-fixe requirements, either. To sign up, just go here! If you’d like to find out more, please e-mail Jim Keenan. In addition, you’ll be helping out a great cause AND it’s a great way to introduce your restaurant to a new audience.
