2 Jul

Happy Fourth of July, OmNomivores! We hope you have a fun and safe holiday weekend. In case you’re looking for something to do, we’ve got a bunch of great things going down over the next couple of weeks. That’s it, let’s get down to biz-natch:

7/2 Boot, scoot, and boogie over to The Beer Garden at Shippan Landing starting at 5:30 for their Country Fest. It’ll feature some country music, drink specials, fireworks, giveaways, and games.
7/3-5 Check out Rizzuto’s in Stamford for a ridiculous cheap 3 course lobster bake for just $19.99. You’ll get NE Clam Chowder or Baby Spinach; NE Lobster Bake which includes lobsters, Little Necks, Rhode Island mussels, corn on the bob, baby red potatoes, and grilled Andouille; and you’ll finish up with Blueberry and Strawberry Shortcake. For an extra $10, you can get a second lobster, too.
7/5 Olio in Stamford will be celebrating their 3 year anniversary with a killer brunch that includes free champagne and donuts. Yeah, you need those donuts! To make your reservation, call them up at (203) 817-0303. Just be sure not to go on Saturday, because they are closed then.
7/8 Mark this and mark it well: this is the day that Coalhouse Pizza’s bar will open, topping them off at 85 brews on tap . . . the most in CT! In addition, there will be a ton of bourbon to drink. Not too shabby.
7/8 Tune into News 12 at 8:30 to see Tracey Medeiros make 5 different drinks that are featured in her book, The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook.
7/10 Bounty Burger will be hitting up Half Full Stamford’s Open House. Just stop by from 6-9, pay $15, and you’ll get unlimited brews. Bounty Burgers are extra but SO worth it. Trust us.
