Anthony will come on stage at 8 . . . and that’s when The Hunger tour begins in CT. Now, just a note: this is the only stop in CT, so if you’re planning on seeing him, this is your shot!

Here’s more about The Hunger tour:

Chef, author, and raconteur Anthony Bourdain is best known for traveling the globe on his stomach, on his TV show Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. He has established himself as a professional gadfly, bête noir, advocate, social critic, and pork enthusiast, recognized for his caustic sense of humor worldwide. He is as unsparing of those things he hates as he is evangelical about his passions. The Hunger serves audiences an all new live show featuring an unyielding, brutally honest monologue reflecting on diverse culture, street cuisine and his travels to lesser-known locations around the world, followed by an open Q&A session. Currently filming the hit CNN original series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown (season seven premiered Sunday, April 24; 9pm ET/PT), Bourdain will bring audiences a menu loaded with lots of laughs, serious discussions and unapologetic irreverence. The Taste, hosted by Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson is casting for Season 2 of their very popular show on ABC.  The premise of the show is that competitors need to impress the chefs on the judging panel with one bite, one taste.  The winner for Season 1 was Khristianne Uy, Charlie Sheen’s personal chef, who pocketed $100,000 and won a Ford C-Max Hybrid car.  Although some critics were tough on the show, it did gather many supporters along the way.  And, to help fill up a cast of chefs and home cooks for Season 2, they are offering up a casting call.  There are two easy options for you if you’d like to compete, taken from the casting call site:

Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert Heading to Hartford for Good Vs. Evil Tour *Presale Code Inside*

15 Aug

Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Anthony Bourdain is one of the most recognized names in the culinary world.  He certainly isn’t shy nor is he afraid to speak his mind.  Whether it’s his views on Paula Deen’s diabetes, The James Beard Awards, Rachael Ray, Sandra Lee, Guy Fieri, or Rocco DiSpirito, his words certainly pack a punch.   Case in point, this barb about Sandra Lee’s show Semi-Homemade:

“All you have to do is waddle into the kitchen, open a can of crap and spread it on some other crap that you bought at the supermarket. And then you’ve done something really special.”

He isn’t all insults, though.  His Anthony Bourdain:  No Reservations and The Layover are two shows that people love and constantly talk about.  Plus, he’s a well established writer with Kitchen Confidential, Medium Raw, and even his new graphic novel called Get Jiro!  And, if you haven’t had enough of him, check him out in 2013 as he hosts Bourdain:  The Taste on ABC (a cooking competition) and a “docu-series” for CNN.  But, let’s be honest, it’s not always about Anthony Bourdain.
