Eating Fairfield: An Omnomable Week of Culinary Awesomeness

6 Nov

Let's help to eat the hell out of Fairfield!

Eating Greenwich and Port Chester went down a few weeks back and now it’s Fairfield’s turn.  Yup, enter Eating Fairfield into the fray from November 27-December 2, 2011.  Weighing in at AWESOME, we’ve got a sick one week experience going on.  We miss Fairfield, having lived in Black Rock.  So many great restaurants to try, and now there are even more to try!

This is how it works.  Each restaurant involved (list below) will give you a discounted price on a prix fixe meal and/or special offers that will make your stomach growl and your heart go pitter patter.  Click on the link to the organizers for the most up-to-date details:  The New England Culinary Group.

Here are the costs of the three course prix fixe menus:

Lunch $10.11/Dinner $20.11      or      Lunch $18.11/Dinner $30.11

Sweeten the pot?  Hell yeah, baby.  You can earn a 20% Bounce Back Incentive by just dining at any participating restaurant during Eating Fairfield.  You’ll be able to use that BBI at any participating Eating Fairfield restaurant from 1/2-1/31 in 2012.  Just a note:  valid Sunday-Wednesday only.

Avellino’s:  we ate here the week of its opening.  Good Italian food.

55 Degrees Wine Bar & Restaurant:  been dying to eat here.  Same owners of Cava in New Canaan and Scena Wine Bar in Darien.

Bodega Taco Bar:  taco heaven with crazy amounts of tequila.  Try the grilled corn.

Bonda:  never been here, but the menu looks promising.  New Italian with worldly influences?

The Brasserie:  French, seafood, and Mediterranean all rolled up into one!

Fairfield Cheese Company:  do we need to explain this one?

Martel:  a chill bistro and bar.

Old Post Tavern:  steakhouse and pub run by Chef Patrick Tennaro

Ponte Vecchio:  we’ve eaten here a few times, also.  Eating here felt like a real Italian experience.

Tabouli Grill:  some of the best Middle Eastern food you’ll ever have.  This spot focuses on organic.  Love the Stamford location too!

The Shack:  get your classic American kinda food here.  Haven’t been yet.

Vinny’s Ale House:  we live walking distance from Vinny’s in Stamford and are addicted to their delish chipotle wings!

Other events planned soon:
