The highly-anticipated Taste of Westport returns for its 11th year in a row this May 7 right at The Westport Inn. This year they’ll be opening up the doors a bit earlier than usual at 6 for a special VIP pre-party with Neil Fuentes, Executive Chef at Jojoto in Branford. This “Intimate Affair” is perfect for any food lover because Chef Fuentes will not only give cooking demos, but will also give attendees a taste of the food and a taste of his band as they perform. VIPs also will get an early shot at trying all the food that’s around and can even put in bids for some of the great silent auction items . . . more on that below. Tickets for the pre-party are $95.
Taste of Westport is back with their annual fundraiser that directly benefits CLASP, a nonprofit that provides homes and services for adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This year there’s an amazing variety of restaurants and drink providers including spots in Westport and all over Fairfield County. The event happens on 5/1/14 from 6-9 pm at Westport Inn right in Westport. Tickets are $75 prepaid via PayPal or by contacting Robin at (203) 226-7895 or $80 at the door. Once there, taste some food, drink some wine, sip on some cocktails, and try to win some of the great silent auction items that are up for grabs.
Here are 26 delicious reasons to come to Taste of Westport this year:
It’s time again for Taste of Westport (we covered this event last year, too). What’s great about this event is that you get to taste some of the best food that Westport has to offer and you do good at the same time. Taste of Westport will be on May 2 from 6-9 pm at the Westport Inn and will cost $75 prepaid or $80 at the door. You can get your tickets easily by going to the purchasing page or calling (203) 226-7895 x144. Proceeds are being donated to Clasp Homes of Westport and even more will go to Clasp through silent auctions. Here’s a little bit about Clasp, from their website: “Our mission is to provide homes and opportunities for people with autism and other developmental disabilities. We offer high quality personalized services that enhance each person’s independence, dignity, and continued growth. As a non-profit community organization we are dedicated to increasing public understanding of the people we serve and their ability to be contributing members of the community.”
Now back to the food…but, we’re not talking about just great restaurants. Michele’s Pies, the award-winning and Bobby Flay-throwdown-winners, will be on hand. Plus, there will be lots to drink like Beaver Beer, local Onyx Moonshine, and even more provided by Black Bear Wines & Spirits, Crystal Rock, and Green Farms Spirits. Here is all the info.
Clasp Homes offers people with autism and related developmental disabilities opportunities for growth, happiness, and success and also provides them with homes. To help raise money to fund their cause, they have put together the 8th Annual Taste of Westport. Well, get ready to do some major chomping and drinking on May 3. The good times will roll from 6-9 pm at Westport Inn. You’ll also be able to take advantage of silent auctions, so practice writing those numbers! All of the proceeds from the night will go directly to Clasp Homes, so buy your tickets now for $75 online or $80 at the door. As an additional incentive, you’ll get to take home an event journal that will contain recipes from the restaurants that will be there. If you can’t make it, but would still like to contribute, donations are greatly appreciated.
