Looking for Something to Do? Check out the OmNomCT Fairfield County Events Page

OmNomCT Events

We love filling up our week and weekends with fun events, especially the kind of events that have something to do with food.  Brewery tours, brewery tastings, wine tours, wine tastings, spirit tours, spirit tastings, farm tours, farm dinners, beer dinners, wine dinners, spirit dinners, festivals, fairs, bashes, cooking demos, and more keep us going all year long.  And, that’s why we decided to create our Nomworthy Events.  Although we’ve had this feature on our site for a while (it’s in the top headings under our banner), we’ve been continually filling it up with great events throughout Fairfield County…and sometimes just a bit over the border.

If you’re a restaurant or a festival organizer, let us know about special events and we can get them up on our Nomworthy Events page.  Also, if you’re aware of an event that you think we should put up, just let us know!  You can reply here, on our events page, our Facebook page, tweet us, or always just e-mail us at omnomct@gmail.com.  We don’t suggest carrier pigeon, as they are unreliable and are filthy rats with wings.

Thanks so much for reading!

This Weekend, Everybody’s Irish @ the Milford Irish Festival

19 Sep

Milford, you guys get the coolest things.  You have your own Oktoberfest, Oyster Fest, and you get your own Irish Festival, too!  Aww, garsh, we’re jealous.  Lucky for us you’re not too far away and we can easily get out there this Friday or Saturday, 9/20-21, to celebrate the music and culture of the Emerald Isle.  Both days will feature classics such as corned beef, fish & chips, shepard’s pie, roast beef, hot dogs, chili, burgers, pulled pork, sausage & peppers, fried dough, kettle corn, and more.   Also, there will be a variety of brews such as Guinness and Harp, as well as hard ciders and wine.   You can also learn more about Irish sports, history, and watch authentic Irish Dancing by visiting the Cultural Tent.  This tent will feature a tea room with Irish coffee and baked goods, too, so make sure to stop by.
