Sometimes there might be one or two events to write about that are going down on the same weekend, but then again there are times when there’s a crazy amount of awesomeness happening all at the same time. Well, it just so happens to be one of those weekends coming up! So, as promised, here’s a schmatering (how did we even know how to spell that?) of things going on in Fairfield County!

Oh yeah, the hot sauce gods smile upon this! Pic from Hoardable Hot Sauce’s FB page.

Over the next two weeks, we’re going to do bite-size posts that throw the spotlight where it belongs: on the local producers, the local artisans, the local business owners who are putting out unique, high-quality products. Whether you get any of these gifts for yourself, for a friend, or a family member, we’ve combed Fairfield County so you can get you a slice of what the 203 is all about.

Plus, another great thing about these sauces is that they are local, they are organic, and are made sustainably.

Westport Farmers’ Market Begins Saturday Winter Markets

1 Nov

poster_winter_rev

The ever-popular Westport Farmers’ Market doesn’t just stop because of a silly thing like colder weather.  Pshhhh.  They just set up shop somewhere else during the colder months!  That’s why you’ll be able to visit them from 11/16 – 3/15 from 10 – 2 pm at Gilberties Herb Garden.
The winter market begins their fourth season at Gilberties Herb Garden and now they’re on Saturdays!  Huge!  We’ve been sad because we’ve never been able to visit the Westport Farmers’ Market because we both work during the week, so this will be the perfect opportunity for us to check it out!
