Wine, Cheese, Prizes, + More Cheese @ Greenwich Cheese Company Grand Opening

28 Jan

Just a few days before Christmas, a couple months back, Dan trekked out to Greenwich Cheese Company. His mission? Find some great cheeses, breads, and meats for Christmas dinner at his parent’s house on Long Island. Parking was pretty easy with the back parking lot—that’s a nice tip for you when you visit. As he entered, Dan was so happy to see that there was a nice line of people waiting to order (and some try) cheese after cheese. Pretty awesome for only being open a few days!

It would seem almost too good to be true.  A festival devoted to not only beer and bourbon, but also BBQ and bacon.  Well, we suppose that we’ve all died and gone to heaven because, YES, the 4B Festival is hitting The Nutmeg State and The Elm City!  This festival is the first of its kind here in CT and will take place on 3/22/14 at The Old Trolley Barn.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…in Greenwich.  More specifically, the most wonderful time of the year is this Saturday from 10-6 pm and Sunday from noon to 5 pm.  During both days you’ll have a chance to get some major deals at local businesses, devour food from some awesome food trucks, sample wine and mulled cider, nom away on some treats, listen to music, take part in activities, and so much more.

Because all we ever think about is food, let’s start there:

Both The Local Meatball and Pizza Luca will be parked near the C. Parker Gallery at 17 East Putnam Avenue.  They’ll be there on Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from noon to 5.

Oh, but that’s not all kiddos!  There will be a food truck village!

1 Apr

This is THE event that you don't want to miss!

A few weeks ago we shared the news that local Stamford restaurants were banding together to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with their Big Night event.  On the heels of that great fundraiser comes the Third Annual Hops & Grapes, Toasts & Tastes event.  Let the drinks pour, the food be eaten, and the money pile up for this great cause.  Hops & Grapes, Toasts & Tastes will take place on April 14, 2012 from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm at Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk, CT.  Tickets to the event are $75 or two for $125.  If you go out to a nice restaurant, then that covers the cost.  You’ll be eating and drinking well, but you’ll also be helping out a charity that desperately needs your help.  Also, you can purchase VIP tickets at $100 each or two for $175 that include a souvenir wine glass, LLS Relentless wristband, raffle ticket, and deluxe gift bag.   A silent auction and raffle will also take place, with prizes donated by Hyatt Regency Greenwich, Capital Grille, Brewer’s Hardware, and The Rugg Family.
