Ultimate Holiday Cookie Contest and Party with Marcia Selden Catering

You know the holidays are around the corner when you or someone in your family busts out the cookie recipes.  It’s just an OmNomCT_logo.001unwritten rule:  cookies=holiday time.  And, it’s with that kind of spirit that we’re very excited to announce The Ultimate Holiday Cookie contest with Marcia Selden Catering!  You’ll have from DecemberWinston Flowers 2-10 to submit your holiday cookie recipe and photo to Marcia Selden Catering’s contest page tab on Facebook.  Then, on December 11 we’ll both pick our top 6 recipes that we’ll share with you and Marcia Selden Catering.

SLEC-20-logo-A-screenThe top 6 entrants will then prepare 5 dozen cookies for the sweetest of all holiday events on 12/15 from 2-3:30 at Winston Flowers in Greenwich.  This event is open to the public and requires you to come hungry because there will be lots of cookies toPlum Luv Foods logo taste and there will be refreshments to make it all go down smoothly.  And four awesome judges will be on hand to crown the Ultimate Holiday Cookie Champion!  First up is Lisa Maronian from Sweet Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes in Greenwich.  Both Lisa and her husband Stephen have appeared on Food Network Challenge and their creations have been featured on The Today Show and countless publications.  The second judge is  John Barricelli The SoNo Baking Company & Cafefrom SoNo Baking Company who has countless cookbooks and was the host of the show “Everyday Baking from Everyday Food.”  Third up is Chef Plum from Plum Luv Foods.  Chef Plum has become known for his Dinner Underground series, his run on The Taste, recently winning Guy’s Grocery Games, and for his brand new segments on “Better TV” from The Hallmark Channel.  And, the final judge is Robin Selden, who is executive chef at Marcia Selden Catering.  She’s got the golden touch when it comes to food and has helped to bring in countless awards, honors, and amazing meal experiences.
