Barrel Aged Beers, Killer Food, Cigars, + Scotch @ The Ginger Man’s Cigar Night on the Patio

Finally have some time after going through your binders and binders of women?  (Okay, we had to jump on the meme action.) Yeah, life’s pretty tough, but The Ginger Man in SoNo, The Connecticut Cigar Company, and Compass Box Whisky Co. have gotcha covered, pals.  You have probably heard about their amazing monthly beer dinners with amazing pairings of brews and creative food.  Yeah, our mouths have watered over those food and beer pairings, too.  Well, they are up to something a bit different this coming Monday, 10/22 starting at 7 pm.  Yes folks, for just $75 (includes tips and tax) you’ll get a huge selection of eats, barrel aged beers, cigars, and artisan Scotch whiskys (did you know you can spell it this way?).

As you enter you’ll be able to try barrel aged beer

• Barrel aged Southern Tier Backburner Barleywine

You’ll also be able to choose from many dishes (or just eat them all, let’s be serious, you’re going to eat them all.  Maybe you’ll eat them all twice or three times.  Okay, maybe you’ll take the chocolate covered bacon on the ride of your life, too.)

• cocoa dusted brisket on hickory smoke potato chip
• rosemary grilled lamb chops with romesco
• chocolate covered bacon with smoked sea salt
• peking duck breast with hoison sauce & scallion pancakes
• a selection of our current menu of charcuteries and cheese
• smoked almonds
• flan

When your bellies are all full and you’re feeling good from the beer, it’s time to move onto the next part of the night:  cigars and Scotch whisky!  Now, we’re not talking about those cigars that you find at CVS or the gas station that have a seemingly sophisticated name or are in that really bright and fake looking plastic, either.  We’re talking hand-rolled cigars, right before your eyes, by The Connecticut Cigar Company.

As you puff away and try to make fun shapes with the smoke, you’ll have an amazing variety of American Scotch whiskys to try from Compass Box Whisky Co.:
