We’re going on vacation next week to get in some fine Lake Placid air and drink some wicked Vermont beer, so we’re throwing down big time with a ton of events (50 to be exact) to take you until the end of February. You won’t find a listing like this anywhere else, so stick with us for the most original and up-to-date events, dinners, deals, beer releases/info, and more for Fairfield County and beyond.

2/13 Stop by B.J. Ryan’s in Norwalk starting at 9 for Levitation! There’s no cover at all, either. Plus, there will be some special brews they are saving just for the event.

2/1-2/29 Have you gotten a Taste of Georgetown yet? Dine at 4 of the following restaurants and you’ll get a get a buy-one dinner, get-one dinner certificate from any! Restaurants are Georgetown Saloon, Lombardi’s Trattoria, Wire Mill, Aranci 67, Rancho Alegre, and Black Cat Grille. The deal is good Sunday-Thursday.

1/23 Little Pub Greenwich is hosting the ETA Band starting at 10. We say pick the spot by the fireplace and get all toasty . . . and toasted on good drinks.

CT Food News: Parties, Dinners, Openings, Jobs, Beer Releases + More – 1/8/16

We’ve got lots of great celebrations, dinners, restuarant openings, job opportunties, new brewery hours, CT and other domestic beer releases, and more. Yup, that’s right: we’re starting 2016 off right with the biggest and freshest collection of events, deals, and beer info for Fairfield County. 

1/8 Celebrate two years of Little Barn in Westport with their Barn Burner party! The DJ starts spinning at 9, there will be an outdoor ice bar, and if you hang with them until late, there will be free late night snacks.

1/13 Fleishers Craft Kitchen in Westport is hosting a series of four-course beer dinners featuring local breweries and amazing, local food. The first night is New England Brewing at 7 with a reception starting at 6:30. Tix are $125 $90 per person and can bought here when they go live.

A little elf told us today that you’ve been good boys and girls, so we’re going to let you know about some great events, a last chance at a Santa crawl, deals, dishes to try, and -of course- CT beer goodness. 

12/19 Green Eyed Lady is playing J House Greenwich from 8-11. Get yo’ drank on, get yo’ food on, get yo’ groove on.

12/19 It’s a Santa Crawl in SoNo, baby! Dress up as the jolly ol’ St. Nick or wear your ugliest sweater and take part in some great deals including beer, specials, and prizes. Participating restaurants include Johnny Utah’s, Blind Rhino, O’Neil’s, Mama’s Boy, SONO Pizza , Famous Pizza, Washington Prime, Local, and Cask Republic. If you visit 7 of the 10, you’ll be entered to win a raffle prize and can get more chances at the registration desk with proceeds going to The Connecticut Challenge. Register here.

What’s going on good people? We hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weather . . . and that you’ll take full advantage of it over the next few days as we reach the low 60s! Stick with us, kids, you’ll go far! ;) 

12/10-13 Come down to 1 N Water Street in SoNo for the SONO Holiday Bazaar Marketplace. Hours are 3-9 Thursday + Friday, 10-7 Saturday and Sunday. There will be a ton of great things to buy including pasta and sauces from Bar Sugo and Dorest Maple Reserve (that’s maple syrup aged in bourbon barrels), plenty of crafts, and a great assortment of the perfect gifts.

11/19 Check out The Blind Rhino in SoNo tonight for some awesome cocktails using Sons of Liberty liquor. Behind the bar that night will be Carl Summa, Jeff Marron, and some others who are ready to make the cocktail of your dreams. Also, there will be Thai Peanut Wings. Boom. 

11/20 Get a Taste of West Haven from 6:30-9:30 at the Savin Rock Conference Center @ 6 Rock Street. Tickets are $40 in advance and include food, wine, and beer from some of West Haven’s best restaurants. To get your ticket, head to Ye Old Liquor Shoppe, the West Haven Chamber of Commerce, or e-mail Cheryl Milano.

11/21-25 Chief Brody’s Banh Mi Truck will be hitting up the Yale/Harvard football game on 11/21 (location TBD), will be in downtown New Haven on 11/24 for lunch (location TBD), and at Two Roads on 11/25 from 4-8.

11/21 If you’re looking for some fresh goodies, check out the Winter Farmers Market of Southport from 10-1 at 279 Kings Drive.

11/22 There are plenty of great spots to eat during and after the Stamford UBS Parade Spectacular, but one of our faves is Eos. If you stop by and dress like a turkey they’ll give you a $5 drink special . . . okay, well, you don’t have to dress like a turkey to get the deal, but that would be friggin awesome.

11/22 The Heavy Pets are playing BRYAC in Black Rock starting at 7 pm. No fee, no cover, just good times. ;)

11/24 Artisan Restaurant in Southport is hosting a Johnnie Walker Trunk Show Experience from 7-10. Get your own tastes of Johnnie Walker Red, Black, double Black, Gold, Platinum, and even Blue. There will also be a cocktail using Johnnie Red for you to sip on to start the night off. And, yes, there will be plenty of food provided throughout the night as you get Scotch-ized. 11/12 Make sure you hit up the Monger Mingle in Greenwich today from 7-9 at The Hub (160 East Putnam Ave. in Cos Cob). There will be plenty of great samples to try from Greenwich Cheese Company, Fjord Fish Market, and brand new tenant Fleishers Craft Butchery. In addition, if you stop by Cos Cob Liquors in the same center, they’ll be providing wine and beer tastings, so come thirsty, too. And, while you’re at all these great shops, buy buy buy . . . especially knowing that 10% of your purchases go to Community Plates.

November? Doh, how did that happen? We’re not sure, and we’re not sure why we’re walking around in shorts now, but we’ll take what we can get. But, we have one bone to pick with some of you. 10/22 The Bee Foundation (bringing brain aneurysm awareness) is hosting a special guest bartender event from 6-8 at Gallo Restaurant in Ridgefield. The bartenders for that night are Susie Mendizabal and Hoodoo Brown’s own Chris Sexton. They’ll be donating 10% of all drinks right to TBF and will also be selling raffle tickets for $20.
