We’ve got lots of great celebrations, dinners, restuarant openings, job opportunties, new brewery hours, CT and other domestic beer releases, and more. Yup, that’s right: we’re starting 2016 off right with the biggest and freshest collection of events, deals, and beer info for Fairfield County. 

1/8 Celebrate two years of Little Barn in Westport with their Barn Burner party! The DJ starts spinning at 9, there will be an outdoor ice bar, and if you hang with them until late, there will be free late night snacks.

1/13 Fleishers Craft Kitchen in Westport is hosting a series of four-course beer dinners featuring local breweries and amazing, local food. The first night is New England Brewing at 7 with a reception starting at 6:30. Tix are $125 $90 per person and can bought here when they go live.

1/18 Celebrate with an Industry Night Winter Beach Party at Valencia in Norwalk with Patron specials all night starting at 6, free apps, giveaways, and DJ Jonesy starting at 7.

1/18 It’s a “Basket Challenge” for the Kids Culinary class at Stew Leonard’s in Newington from 11-1.

1/18 Bar Sugo is back open on Monday nights and will feature 1/2 priced wines, too. Boom!

Mima’s Meatballs & More is now open for lunch and dinner in Ridgefield @ 103 Danbury Road.

Westchester Burger Co. will be opening up where Rizzuto’s Stamford used to be, right by the ShopRite.

Tautog Tavern in Black Rock has lots of goodies on sale for Happy Hour from 4-7, Tuesday-Friday. Plus, deals on $5 draughts and $6 cocktails.

The Stamford Museum & Nature Center is looking for talented young chefs from ages 10-18 to compete in the 3rd Annual First County Bank’s Teen Chefs Challenge! Deets here.

Elm City Social in New Haven is featuring The Juan Burgundy made with Glendronach Scotch, Bruxo Mezcal, lemon egg white, and cabernet. The effects are aromas of “rich mahogany, Scotch, and leather bound books.”

Brick + Wood has a dessert you’re gonna need to stuff in your face: Thousand Layer Cannoli Cake! Oh my gawwwwdd.

Bridge Street Wienery is featuring a brand new burger which we think is a nice ode to our boy Henrik Lundqvist: “The King Henrik.” It’s a double cheddar cheeseburger with cones, jalapenos, bacon, BBQ, and chipotle mayo. Yup!

Travel Channel’s Food Paradise is filming at Zuppardi’s today from 12-3 and 5:30-7:30 so come on by and you just might make your way onto the show that features these killer pizza makers!

1/8 Eli Cannon’s has a wicked good tap list today: Founders Brewing new Azzaca IPA, KBS 2014, All Day IPA, Imperial Stout, ReDANKulous, plus Bourbon County 14 + 15, Captain’s Daughter, and more.

1/9 Sliders Grill and Bar in Wallingford will have playoff football on, but will also have a cornhole tournament going down. Plus, oh yes, plenty of Founders beer including their new Azacca IPA and a beer brewed just for them.

Half Full Rare Beer Night Resolutions

Time to drink your resolutions at Half Full!

1/9 My Resolution stouts are out starting at noon at Half Full in Stamford. They have about 33 cases with a 4 pack costing $12.99. You can buy a limit of two 4 packs. If you remember, this is the beer that people put their resolutions into from last year. More info here.


1/13 Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford is featuring a selection of amazing import beers including Flanders, Coolships, Stouts, and plenty more. It all starts at 6 and will feature Belgium and England.

1/14 Black Hog Brewery takes over the taps of Sitting Duck in Stratford.

1/14 Stop by Hop Haus at 6 and meet the people from CT’s Hooker Beer! BOOM!

1/17 Check out this year’s Extreme Pint Brewfest from 5-7:30. For $46, you’ll get entrance, a laminate, and a tasting glass. If you’d like, you could also purchase a package to also see the band LETTUCE for $75. Deets here.

1/20 Kent Falls is releasing their Bourbon Barrel-aged Coffeemaker at J. Timothy’s Taverne and there are just a few seats left. $52 per person includes food and beer.

3 CT breweries were selected by Beer Advocate as 33 of the best new breweries in the country! We’re talking Kent Falls, Outer Light, and Veracious! Go CT!

Every Sunday in January it’s Beer, Bread & Board Games @ Beer’d Brewing! There will be classic board games for ya. Hours from 1-5.

Broad Brook Brewing will feature a special cask of Chocolate Oatmeal Stout starting at 4:30 on 1/8. Also, they’ll be releasing their Jigawatts DIPA ONLY at the brewery on 1/16, starting at 11:30.

Coming this January to CT from Ballast Point: Pineapple Sculpin, Mango Even Keel, Watermelon Dorado, and Ginger Big Eye.

Kent Falls has released “2016”: their New Years’s release. It’s a dry-hopped, tart saison with Brett and oak.
