Stew Leonard’s Wines Danbury Reopens w/ Massive Makeover, Selection + Events

12 Nov

People aren’t the only ones who get to undergo massive makeovers. Nope! Plenty of restaurants and businesses update and renovate to not only keep up with the times, but to also look ahead into the future. And, while Stew Leonard’s Wines in Danbury already had a good thing going on, they closed up shop and went under the knife, so to say. After an amazing amount of work, the newly renovated store will be open tomorrow, November 13. If you’d like to take part in the grand opening celebration, stop by at 2 pm on 11/14 and have a Dom Pérignon toast with Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and Stew Leonard Jr.  Now, here are some of the things to be excited about in terms of changes and some great events that they have planned for their loyal (and soon-to-be-loyal) customers: • There’s 9,500 square feet of liquid awesomeness here with easier to navigate rows. • There’s an expanded wine section with over 1,500 varieties of wine from across the globe

• Wine is grouped by country and varietal

• There are over 1,000 bottles of wine for sale under $10.00

• There’s a bigger beer section than ever that includes 700 microbrews, local beers, seasonals, other domestics, and imports.  • And, yes, there’s an improved Spirits section for all your cocktail making or straight shooting needs.
